2. Go through your Q& A assignments from Wednesday, (20-point written work assignment)
making sure to make final revisions. Based on what I saw, and helped correct in class, you will want to check to make sure that you:
- correctly label all the parts of the template (this is the most important part of the outline process)
- proofread and repair the logic of your outlines: is everything on-topic? logically-explained?
- make sure that your actual answers go with each outline; don't separate them by putting them all together at the end.
- proofread and repair for grammar, esp. sentence structure errors, and mistakes in integrating quotes. (See "Guide to integrating quotes" )
- Proofread for errors of style, including Abstract Subjects and the Passive Voice.
Objectives:
Outline and draft logical, (supported) complete (fully explained) and fluent (connected without choppy gaps) responses to questions.
Observe style rules and rules of good grammar when you turn each line of your outline into grammatically-correct sentences that incorporate quotes, stay in the formal style, and avoid passive and wordy sentence structures.
