I encourage every one of my students and parents to listen to the following podcast; it aired today on KPCC, and features an interview with an author whose work dissects the causes, problems, and harmful effects of what he calls the "endless adolescence" of American middle-class teenagers and young adults. In discussing the findings in his book, he shares the results of his research, provides many interesting illustrative anecdotes, and offers suggestions for parents, teachers, and educational leaders.
