Remember, tomorrow you are turning in a English-department-wide assessment also being done in Ms. Cole-Jackson's class:
15 show and tell DEs:
You can write new ones, or pull them from your last assignment then revise.
Make sure to include In your own words the "4 elements of effective DEs":
(these are only abbreviated as reminders of what they are; see your old notes and the two quizzes when I asked you about these for reference:
-Get the most important part of quote; BUT YOU MUST INCLUDE THE CONTEXT of who's sayng it, about what, when, etc.)
-Tells to the point/describable
-Show goes with tell
-interpret,don't repeat the quote
As a separate assignment, turn in your "10 ACs with their DEs" assignment
This one is a grammar/worksheet assignment, graded on:
-Correct use of ACs
-Show--> Tell, not C-->E
-Style: Punctuation, present tense, avoiding wordiness, correctly integrating quotes, etc.
