English 9 for Friday

Link to "4 elements of good DE "Show-->Tell" notes

As you revise and fix your weekend paragraphs drafts, remember to:
-Follow directions, including the question, DE outline with headings, including TS content on top right, then Paragraph all together, in order by question.
(DO NOT separate all the questions, from all the outlines, from all the paragraphs: Q#1 goes with outline #1 and paragraph#1; then same with Q# 2, then Q#3)

Completely label the heading of each outline, using the words from the questions to show "what I'm looking for examples of" and "what you're trying to tell us to answer the question"

Use the "4 elements of good DE "Show-->Tell" notes to improve the outlines.
Use the same elements from our summaries (clear Topic Sentence gives whole main idea, connect Show and Tell, do not leave quotes stuck in without incorporating them into your sentences) to turn each show-->tell from your table and turn it into 1-2 clear and connected sentences to support your paragraph.

Make sure do one final edit to make sure sentences flow, including all transition words, and make sure that you include ALL the ideas in your outline into your paragraph.

Good Luck!
