Watch for vocab list to be posted here by Monday PM; this will be our class vocab list (we'll have a quiz on these next week; your job is to look these up and create your own study guide, flashcards, etc.)


  • FIXING YOUR FREEWRITE WITH CORRECTIONS OF PV, WV,Fixing your freewrite with corrections of PV, Weak verbs, Abstract subjects"

Steps:

  1. Refer to these external references for clues about Passive Voice and how to identify it:
  2. Rewrite your written page with all the errors fixed, and type it up. (remember that you may need to revise choppy sentences and change sentence constructions to get rid of weak verbs, AS, and Passive voice!)

OBJECTIVES:

  • identify examples of errors in original
  • revise to correct errors without making other errors.
  • Use rules about clauses and combining we've already learned when necessary to eliminate choppy sentences.
