1. REVIEW all the suggestions for ways to organize, read for ideas and details, and take better notes (timelines, DEs, annotations, headings/groupings, pictures, etc.)
Use these strategies to revise and expand your notes.
2. Take notes on whole section: Open note quiz on Wednesday will test your note-taking, not memorizing. You're allowed to use those notes you took.

Bring Internet addresses for 3 sites that have full-text translations of the Tao te Ching, and translations of the Analects of Confucius. We'll have a coming assignment in which you'll find your own interesting excerpts from these texts to bring to class. For now just find some sources; the more translations we all find, the better!)
