From the story itself, write a 15-line DE
What you see==>what it tells you about the characters/what it might mean, etc.
remember these Three things to watch for in good DE notes from class:
- a) the "tell" must tell us something beyond the literal text: something it shows about the character? a Theme? symbolizes? hints at? suggests? It's supposed to be an "Interpretation," not a "restatement" of what's on the left.
b) Make sure that the two sides somehow logically match
c) Make sure to keep entries clear on left, short and to the point on the right.
Remember: Redos on DE #1 due Friday!
